Network Fundamentals Paper

If you understand basic networking, data communication, and telecommunication concepts, then you should use your best judgment when determining whether to read this paper. However, even if you have read and understood Comer's book "Internetworking with TCP/IP", you would still benefit by reading this paper because basic IRIX networking concepts are discussed and referenced through- out this paper. In addition, this paper includes discussions on specific topics that can only be found by reading multiple text books.
