About Us
The Research Computing Center (RCC) was formed in 1979 to support the needs of
sponsored Research Programs at the University of New Hampshire. Reporting to
the office of the Vice President for Research and Public Service, our goal is
to provide computational and networking support to our customers, advise the
university community on subjects pertaining to computing and communications,
and to conduct research and testing to facilitate this mission.
Initial programs of the RCC focused on scientific software development,
databases, statistical processing, CAD/CAM, computer graphics, and network
design. Our programs have since expanded to include web/database programing and
design.
The Research Computing Center operates and maintains the InterOperability Lab
(IOL) which works with many corporations in resolving complex networking issues
using state-of-the-art hardware and testing equipment.
